A REALLY GOOD DAY - A Novel by James Hosek

Picture
Scott Hanover is having the most amazing day of his life. Even when things seem to go wrong, fate steps in and steers him back onto a path that he never imagined. The day begins with mixed feelings for Scott, he is excited to be getting out to golf one more time before his wife is due to deliver their first child, but the tournament he finds himself in is way above his league and part of him wonders if he should just stay home and help get ready for the baby instead of embarrassing himself. A few tips from an old pro and some gifts from his friend and caddy, Paul Bauer, take away the pressure and he finds out that its better just to play golf, rather than let golf play him.
Along the way a golf-hating sportscaster, Jason Bernard, learns that some things are more important than his career. A washed up sports agent, Jake Fischer, finds redemption and learns where his true strength lies. A top amateur golfer, Andrew Patterson, finds out that there is more to the game than just swinging the clubs better than anyone else.
Hole after hole, Scott amazes himself and the growing crowd following him. An amazing hole-in-one turns his great game into potentially one of the best rounds ever and garners the attention of a local sports network. When he is put head-to-head with top-ranked Andrew Patterson the game turns into a battle of wits as well as skill. Experience is pitted against luck and fate. As the story of the amazing game goes national and Scott's wife makes her way out to join him on his journey, they both are surprised as the whole adventure almost comes to an end on the seventeenth hole. But nothing is going to keep Scott from his destiny and when he goes against all the odds to try an impossible shot on the eighteenth all of America is holding their breath waiting to see what happens.
Anyone will enjoy A Really Good Day from avid golfers, golf widows, or anyone who just loves a good story that lets them feeling really good after they finish.
